The LAAFS formed by combining two separate auxiliaries at the 2005 convention. The Arkansas Association of Fire Chief’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Arkansas State Firefighter’s Ladies Auxiliary voted to combine their individual groups for the purpose of camaraderie and shared philanthropy. We raise money each year at convention to donate to a fire related charity that is voted on at our Friday business meeting.

In 2014, our convention hosted the SW Division of the Internation Association of Fire Chiefs. Our committee was asked to plan activities for their ladies auxiliary. The AFC committee agreed to do so if we could continue planning activities for our auxiliary in the future. It was agreed and so began the tradition of offering our ladies fun activities to attend. Ladies who attend the Arkansas Fire Convention are welcome to join any and all activities at no cost to them. You do not have to a member of a local auxiliary.
